Threads

How it works
Before your treatment

Before your treatment with Anti-wrinkle injections the following is advised:
• Medications and supplements designed to increase blood flow can increase your risk of bruising.
• Do not use blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for 3 – 4 days prior to treatment.
• Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment.
• Avoid chemical peels and needling prior to treatment.
• No vaccinations 3 days prior to treatment.

Before your treatment with Dermal Filler injections the following is advised:
• Advise our nurse if you are taking blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation
• Shave the treatment area if required 12 days prior to treatment
• Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment
• Avoid chemical peels and needling 7 days prior to treatment
• No vaccinations 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Before your treatment with Fat Reduction injections the following is advised:
• Advise our nurse if you are taking blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation
• Shave the treatment area if required 12 hours prior to treatment
• Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment
• Avoid chemical peels and needling 7 days prior to treatment
• No vaccinations 3 days prior to treatment.
After your treatment

If this is your first treatment with us or if you have any concerns, please book and attend a review two weeks following your treatment. It is necessary to see you within this time frame in the event future treatment is required.
Following your treatment with Anti-wrinkle injections the following is advised:
• Avoid lying down, rubbing, or massaging the area for at least 4 hours after the treatment.
• Avoid consuming alcohol or performing strenuous exercise until the day after your treatment.
• Bruising is possible after any treatment with a needle. if you notice a bruise soon after your treatment, then place your finger gently but firmly on the spot for a few minutes. Do not rub or massage for 4 hours.
• After 4 hours post treatment, if the bruise is still apparent then frequent application of Hirudoid cream may help to resolve the bruising. Hirudoid cream can be purchased at most chemists.
• No vaccinations 3 days post treatment.

Your treatment will begin to work straight away, however you will see the full results in 3 weeks. Swelling and some bruising are normal. These can make the treatment area look larger than expected. The swelling and bruising will go down over the next 1-2 weeks.
Following your treatment with dermal fillers the following is advised:
• Do not expose yourself to pathogens. Avoid getting your treatment area dirty. This will decrease the change of infection. Avoid makeup, saunas, gyms, gardening, etc for 24 hours.
• Do not create pressure on the treatment area. Avoid strong massage or anything that causes pressure to the treatment area. This may include items such as goggles, helmets, face down massages, sleeping on your face etc.
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
• Avoid makeup on the day of treatment.
• Avoid Facials or skin treatments for one week post treatment (lips.) Avoid Facials or skin treatments for three weeks post treatment (All other areas.) This includes Beauty therapy treatments, home devices and cosmetic tattooing, for example.
• No vaccinations 2 weeks post treatment.

Following your treatment with Fat Reduction injections the following is advised:
• You are able to apply mineral makeup where necessary, using a clean brush.
• Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24-48 hours.
• Minimise alcohol, caffeine, blood thinning medications and vitamin supplements for 24 hours following treatment, as these may worsen swelling and bruising.
• Avoid exercise 24 hours post treatment.
• No vaccinations 3 days post treatment.
